What this service does

STAT Recognition lets a patient, family member, or colleague thank a member of a care team by name, and turns that thank-you into a durable record the recipient keeps.

What we collect

From the person giving recognition, we collect only structured choices: which caregiver, one or two descriptions of what they did well, and how the giver knows them. There is no free-text field.

We do not ask for, and the form cannot accept, any information about medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. Givers are not named publicly — only how they know the person they are thanking.

What is public and what is not

The recognition itself is stored privately. A separate public record contains no personal information at all — only a one-way code that proves the stored details have not been altered.

A recognition appears on a clinic’s public wall only if the giver chose to publish it.

Erasure

If someone exercises a request to delete your information, the private details are deleted. The content-free public record remains and resolves as "record withheld" — it holds no personal information to erase, and removing it would destroy proof for everyone else.

Governing law

For organizations in the United States, this policy is intended to operate under applicable United States federal and state privacy law, including HIPAA where a covered entity or business associate relationship exists.
